Die beiden Niederländer Anna Cales und Leon van den Broek sind als Reisende nach Südamerika gekommen und haben dort eine Produktionsstätte mit inzwischen 700 Mitarbeiter*innen aufgebaut. Die beiden sind bei fast jedem Produktionsschritt der Herstellung ihrer Alpaka-Strickware dabei: von der Designphase bis hin zum Färben und Stricken der Wolle und dem Vertrieb ihrer Produkte. Das halbe Jahr über sind sie vor Ort und begleiten den Prozess. Alle Produkte sind per Handarbeit gemacht, die die Stricker*innen oftmals auch von zu Hause erledigen können. Ihnen ist es wichtig sowohl Natur, als auch Menschen und der Kultur Ecuadors Respekt entgegen zu bringen.

The two dutch Anna Cales and Leon van den Broek came to South America as travellers and have built up a production facility there that now employs 700 people. They are involved in almost every step of the production of their alpaca knitwear: from the design phase to the dyeing and knitting of the wool and the distribution of their products. For half the year they are on site and accompany the process. All products are made by hand, which the knitters can often do from home. It is important to them to show respect for nature, people and the culture of Ecuador.
